It's amazing at how over the years we seem to always elect a president who later we felt that he just wasn't the one who was for us. In the 2000 elections between Bush and Al Gore, it came so close, down to the very end, when our Supreme Court decided to stop the voting counts and would further decide the fate of the next American President. As most people felt that Al Gore should have won, we were given the Texas son of a previous president, and at the time all americans sat back to watch as what would be the first move or mistake he would make. Sadly to report 9/11 happened and as a child at the time knowing nothing about politics or foreign affairs, i thought that the world was coming to a halt. Although this was a sticky situation for Bush, he was not the one to send us to was initially as Congress is the only one that can grant it. Over the years he has worked vigorously trying to do what a human president can do, at the same time receiving criticism and praises, but its over for him and time for a new candidate. As it stands we have three candidates and many already know; Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Mcain. Mcain is cruzin right now trying to rally all his supporters as he has already won the GOP nomination, whereas Hillary and Obama are still fighting out, but hopefully not hurting the Democratic party and splitting it. My only concern is when we go to cast that ballot whether it a Democrat or a Republican, don't you want to see a President who will accomplish the goals that we want as a nation. DOn't you want to be able to look back and say you elected the most qualified candidate based on who they. We are the American people and we ultimately decide who we want our president to be. In a sense we are in control of who will make those decisions for us. It's like a regular school club, we are the members of the club, but the president really has to listen to what we want and if he wants to keep that job he will do it. Anyways i would like people to comment me back and tell me what you think our next president should attack in the public policy area and even what you think a president should be! Thank You
Presidency? As Americans what do we want our president to be?
