Hopelessness is a very serious condition in which someone does not care about himself/herself and could careless about anyone else. There are times when someone wants to give up and feel like nothing is going right. I mean, everything a person could think of seems to be going against this person. It seems that no one cares whether this person is in pain and feels that he/she is going against the world. It feels like no one understands, nor could they. Some people abuse illegal drugs or any type of drugs. Some other people sit around and do nothing with their life. Some other people do harm to others or themselves, physically or mentally. Well, I want to say that my philosophy in life is simple: when one person suffers, we all suffer; whereever there is inequality, it affects everyone. I believe that we are all on Earth to help and to guide each other through this journey that we all call life. When we all reach down into our hearts, there is more strength than we thought that there was at first. In the toughest times, our strength shines the most. Although patience must be used, our attitudes and perspectives determine our struggle. I have learned that when we pity ourselves--we weaken ourselves. When we look at a challenge as an opportunity, we are thinking positively about our situations. If we think we can, we can; if we think we cannot, we cannot. Life is not determined by what happens to us, but how we react toward those situations. No matter where we are or what we are doing, we will always have opportunities (challenges). Please, do not get into despair. Never get hopeless because where there is a will, there is a way. No matter what, believe in yourself. More importantly, help others believe in themselves. Everyone is a shining star. Let your sun shine because I know you all can--no matter who you are or what you been through.

Looks like you and I are thinking in the same area. I honestly agree with you. What you have said is what I am thinking and doing.
