On The Golden Rule

“Treat others how you want to be treated.” I know, I know. The Golden Rule can be a little trite, but I think we should keep it in mind once in a while. I mean life would be a little easier on everyone if we all followed this rule even 25% of the time. That is, unless you would like to be lied to,disregarded, disrespected, cheated or abandoned. If this is the case, please refrain from interacting with humanity altogether. Ok? Thanks.

We’ve all heard this simple phrase since childhood, and yet it never ceases to amaze me how many of us forget to follow it. Sure, we all can get busy, so caught up in our own lives that we forget to look out for and support those we care about. We all do it and it is forgivable as long as we don’t make a habit out of it.
We’re all human. We all are very capable (and will) of screwing up royally. In this respect, I, myself, am more human than most. Trust me.

But still, this doesn’t excuse blatant and intentional breeches of the Golden Rule. If someone takes the time to share something with you, please try to listen. If someone needs your support, please try to give it. If someone just needs to know that you’re there for them, then PLEASE just let them know. I think if we all took a little more responsibility for our actions and were more aware of our surroundings, life would be a little easier on everyone. So, give the Golden Rule a chance. Besides,
being a jerk is lame…

being a jerk is lame...I don't understand why it's so hard for people to be nice once in a while....I mean if you don't...then watch out for karma...I think it's you get what you deserve and that's how life should be viewed...being a good person...or even just kind on occasion isn't too hard to grasp...I don't get why more people aren't doing it
