The Pesidential election is coming up. I wish I was old enough to vote. I have so much to say about it. First of all, I think that all the people running for President are selfish, whether they are a democrat or republican. Both parties just have to have it all their way, and there is no room for compromising. However, I think the best way to run the country is all about compromising. It is definitely true that you just can't please everyone, but you can please the majority. The country is split between democrats and republicans, and the amount of each is so close. If a republican wins, half the country will be upset. If a democrat wins, the other half of the country will be upset. However, if the two parties just came together and did some compromising, then there would not be as many people disappointed. Now I know that what I just said sounds absolutely unreal and unbelieveable. Why? Because that kind of stuff just never happens! But if you look at it simply, all it is is compromising, something we do every day. But instead, everyone wants it their way. And yes, I do understand that when it comes to something as big as our cuontry, everyone should have it their way, but that will never happen. Everyone is different, and everyone has different expectations. Also, everyone's opinon about what makes a good president is completely different also.

Not everyone is republican or democrat. Sure, they're the largest parties, but let's not forget about the others.
Also, sure, everyone has to compromise in some ways. However, if presidential candidates were compromising all the time throughout the campaigns and debates, what image would that send? Don't you want a leader who is strong and firm in their thinking and strategies? They have to hold strong (uncompromising) to their beliefs throughout this process, otherwise they simply cannot be seen as trustworthy or reliable.
