For all the focus on the Democrats, a former Bush official who predicts a coming bloodbath between the White House and disgruntled conservative Republicans brushed off the Pelosi-Hoyer tussle as much ado about process.
"The Democrats are the sideshow," he said. "Bush self-destructing is the big story in town."
Actually, the article was about how divided the Democrats are and how our new House Leader, Pelosi was already defeated.
But that statement says it all. We had a win-win situation. Representative Murtha and Representative Hoyer were both qualified for the post and the Democratic party held a legitimate vote to pick a Majority leader.
Yet for a week, the media has crowed about this 'divide'.
Interesting though...I asked 10 people who they prefered Hoyer or Murtha and their response was, "Huh?"
"New food? New wine? Never tried it."
But...they all know who Cheney, Rummy, Bush, Condi and McCain are. And what their saying might turn those people off their food for a while.

I preferred murtha.
But what do they mean about bloodbath with bush repbus. Do you think that the repubs will impeach bush?

EIther impeach, or put HUGE pressure on him to resign... I wrote about it a few days ago, dont have hte link...
But witht eh way things are going, it could be the death of the republican party if they dont.
But I'm sure this will work fine too.
about the ethics thing.
