About an hour ago, I posted a blog regarding the shift in the hot topic for the candidates and how they should focus on one problem at a time. I would like to thank razzle and highlight some potential solutions that I believe may help solve some of our problems. The first solution is to sort out our national treasury. We slip deeper and deeper into national debt everyday and there needs to be a fix for this. One obvious fix would the downscaling and removal of forces from Iraq and Afghanistan which pull millions, if not billions of dollars a month to pay for munitions, food, and other supplies. This would go a long way to cutting down our expenditure, it may not necessarily get us back in the green, which we all know will take a concerted effort on the part of the entire country, but it will bring us back for our several trillion dollar debt by a bit.
Another issue I raised was the prominence of the internet in this election and how the candidates should work to support the younger generation of voters. The solution is to make our views known and make the next president aware of what the future of the country wants. Whether it be a stop to monitoring of private phone lines and internet access, or work with the population on a net neutrality settlement that would hopefully leave the internet as the free place that it is.
All solutions though stem from one place or another, a solution to one problem helping solve another such a the Iraq war and the treasury. It is just a matter of sorting through this web of issues and solving each problem one step at a time. By doing that, not saying it will happen, but some of our struggles with the economy and human rights issues maybe helped. Our problems may not be as troubling as third world countries trapped in civil wars with refugees struggling to survive, but we also need to be able to maintain this country so that we are peacefully able to help others.
