With each year, there have been catastophic occurences such as storm, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes like never before. Some think we are destroying the world and causing this. Many believe the ozone layer from fumes, and other pollutants are interfering with the air and water and causing such catastrophes while others believe that it's just the many signs of God telling us the world is coming to an end. Katrina, St. Louis (earthquake and tornados 2007-2008), California Fires, etc. What do you think? Is it time to change the way we live to save what we have left or do we prepare our hearts and minds for the wrath of God and pray that we make it to heaven?
In my opinion, I think that it's both. I think that we have destroyed our planet. The government and scientists who are suppose to be on top of such issues waited until we had done extensive damage before looking to alternative fueling and electricity, etc. Now it seems as if they are pushing everyone to make drastic changes immediately. Emission testing is now handled differently and they are pushing people to purchase electric vehicles. With that said, I'll move on to God's wrath. There has been many many years of sin and according to the bible, there will be an end. If you read your bible....really read the bible, you'll see that God's wrath can be unlike no other. The whole city of New Orleans, freqeunt and violent storms which sometimes bring over 6 tornados at one time is enough for me to get my act together. We all have some kind of issue whether we want to admit it or not. No one on this earth is perfect. Get your life together.

For all we know, the world may be coming to an end, and Armageddon upon us. But I think it's interesting to note that every single generation has always believed that they were the last. Many saw WWII, the Holocaust, and the Bomb as harbingers of the apocalyspe. Then there was the turmoil of the Cold War and social upheavals. Now, the world is racked by terrorist attacks and natural disasters, but it's nothing new-- it's been happening since the dawn of time.
Plus, we're partially responsible for the change that's come to our planet. There are those who believe that disasters like Katrina or the Indian Ocean tsunami were directly caused by global warming and human activity. I don't buy that, but I do think human activities affect the earth negatively to a certain extent.
Regardless of whether the world's coming to an end or not, you should live everyday as if it was: live in a socially and morally responsible manner.
