Target has paired up with the American Architectural Foundation to offer a $10,000 scholarship to the winner of their "Redesign Your School" Contest. The contest is open the 9th-12th graders and it runs through June 30, 2007. All you have to do for the contest is create a plan for your dream school.
Your entry must be in a single media format such as a video, collage, or book, etc. Your entry should address one or more of the American Architectural Foundation's Principles for School Design which include:
• Design Schools to Support a Variety of Learning Styles.
• Enhance Learning by Integrating Technology.
• Foster a "Small School" Culture.
• Support Neighborhood Schools.
• Create Schools as Centers of Community.
• Engage the Public in the Planning Process.
• Make Healthy, Comfortable, and Flexible Learning Spaces.
• Consider Non-Traditional Options for School Facilities and Classrooms.
