Celebs get so much free stuff. They get gift baskets for presenting on award shows, they can put it in their contracts that they get all the clothes that they wear in a movie, designers send them clothes, and musicans can ask for tons and tons of stuff in their dressing rooms or they wont play.
I recently read an article in Vogue about a new actress who went to her first movie festival. She got all the sunglasses, jeans, clothes, ski equipment she wants. Along with free ski lessons and food by a professional chef. Everything for free as long as they get their pictures taken in it. She even said she loved the coffee machine and they said they’d send her one.
It just seems wasteful to me to give all this stuff to people who could afford to buy it tens time over and who have more than enough stuff.
It was a great idea when they decided to make celebs pay taxes on the free gift baskets they get. They should have to pay taxes on it like the rest of it. If I got a free car or won the lottery I’d have to pay tons of taxes on it. There people too, they should have to pay like the rest of us.
