The time is coming in our near future when our country will be faced with a grave decision. Do we put a President in office that will continue the war in Iraq, will the first black be elected, or will the first woman be elected? Either way, history is bound to be made. Some 250 years ago when the country's founding fathers initiated and enstilled the values in our country they never would have dreamed that the world be facing these political issues at hand. George Washington could have faced a Jane Adams instead of John. Benjamin Franklin could have been Barbara Franklin. And the Americans might be faced with an all out attack on the radical indians who felt threatened by our new, powerful, young country.
The power of this election should not be taken lightly. The outcome will most definitely be historic and life changing. The question is, who will the American People pick? Will young voters also think of the consequences and benefits of choosing the next President? This is only the beginning of my week-long discussion of the most important election to date since the first President was sworn into office.

We should choose the one whom we agree with the most. Race and gender don't come into my mind when I think about the qualifications for a job. The opinions that please you the most are the ones that you should back up. If others don't see that way, don't think that you should follow them. There are those that are meant to lead not follow. And those who lead shouldn't make their decisions because they are scared of what a "woman" or a "black" would do if they were to be in office. Those who think about the important topics like the continuity of the war and abortion are the ones who should lead. They have a strong stance on something other than prejudice.
