Isn't it funny how many stages of life and struggle we experience through our twenties. I'm a woman and a few months shy of turning thirty. I'm not single, I have a domestic partner. We share in a committed and loving relationship. However, financial strain has kept us apart from daily love-fest. You know the one. We're that couple that makes your friends sick and yet jealous all at the same time. We've had our ups and downs like every couple but it was a blessing to meet my "Wife". Now, as I am reaching thirty and she is turning twenty-five we are at different places in our lives. Luckily, we try and understand each other's prospectives. In all fairness, I believe she is my soul-mate in that we understand each other. So, why does everything else in life have to be a struggle. It doesn't matter if you are gay or straight, turning thirty, having a family, being in a relationship it is all a struggle. Now, I'm home on my computer, applying for scholarships because I'm going to college for the first time in my life. My Wife is working until who knows when because its all we have to survive and I turn on the tv to see the Democrats and Republicans raising money for their campaigns. If life is all about love and love is about support and commitment then we have it right. However, I think the Democrats and Republicans should rethink the need for raising funds.
