living the vegan life

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

Well to start off I am a vegan. Its been pretty good so far...I feel really good about it, but its kinda hard to find vegan friendly places. By I mean about that is that to me being vegan means :eating nothing that comes from animals! and when I say nothing I mean NOTHING! For one thing there are all these rumors about fast foods having beef fat in their cooking oil when they deep fry fries. And I'm like great now I cant eat fast food fries anymore. Then I have been eating Jello and figuered out that those have gelatin:powdered pig bone!....so knock that out of the menu...then i figuered out the craziest thing, that the manuere that they use in the fruits and vegetables that I eat has chicken blood in it!!!!! I was like whoaaaa !!!!! So now I have to switch to vegan fruits and vegetables.....yes that sounds weird, but you get use to saying it...and the thing that really gets me mad is when your the only vegan in the house and there is nothing to eat but animal products!!!!! yup......so any other vegans???? out there.??? oh yea if anyone wants to know I'm only a vegan for my health ....so that means I dont give a fcuk about animals ....sorry ......I dissappointed many of you....

Sorry to break it to you, but life feeds on life man
Even the planets as unanimated as they are live, as much as they don't have a nervous system or brain, it still lives, reaches for the sun, and tries its best like every other piece of life we consume. There is no getting away from killing energy off to feed, just a part of us not being self sustaining, if it makes you feel better, mites and ticks feed off our skin, so they also use what you eat.. and you.. circle of life man :)

Everything, you have done, and will do, is chemically predisposed by matter, even the fact you are reading this message. You make no choices, only perceive a given reality.

Those who become vegans/vegitarians for moral reasons (such as myself) do so to end unneccsisary pain. As plants cannot feel pain (physical, emotional, etc), it doesn't matter if their "life" is ended.

Pain is a momentary perception
Why dont you do some useful ending of pain and protest wars or something
Whatever we've wrongs, has already been, whether you make a stand now on it or not, really nothing, you're only impressing youself.. Trust me I feel guilt for seeing an animals eyes and knowing their glossy destination, but its just how we "consumers" are, and good luck proving plants have no pain. No nerve ends, yes, no perception, sure, but that makes them more innocent and more helpless than the animals we slaughter. If you really wanna make a stance, kill yourself, your will no longer feed on life.

Everything, you have done, and will do, is chemically predisposed by matter, even the fact you are reading this message. You make no choices, only perceive a given reality.

If you are a vegan only for health reasons, why do you care if they use chicken blood in the maunure? Its not like anything from it at all besides basic nutrients will be in the produce.

There are vegetarian/vegan types of jello... the gelatin in them is made from seaweed rather than pig or cow (as is the case with kosher gelatin).

I'm wondering the same thing as 1060601, though. What does it matter if the manure has chicken blood in it if you're only a vegan for health reasons?

Also, if you use proper capitalization in your post, you'll probably get more readers and a higher rating.
