At a discussion earlier today, one of my friends pointed out that most of the world's most recognized leaders were those leaders with an innate "killer instinct". Some of those mentioned were Truman, George Washington, and Reagan. Hitler was also mentioned, but then quickly dismissed as no one within this group could seem to determine whether he had a "killer instinct" or just murderous tendencies.
Regardless, most of these world-recognized leaders as being some of the greatest leaders in history were men.
I'm not surprised about that, mind you. History has shown how men have supporessed women in various cultures, religions, and governement regimes around the world for centuries... So how can you have a majority of recognized women leaders when in comparison there were very few female leaders to speak of?
But, what this conversation did cause me to question was whether or not men are simply more apt to carry this "killer instinct" gene, or are women just as likely to have it?
On the one hand, women are seemingly more docile than outwardly violent. The majority of women I know would rather verbally ridicule and manipulate other women until they have developed an eating disorder or attained what they wanted from men (hence, most of my friends are not females).
But then again, if you were to put a child's life in danger, I have no doubt that facing the mother would be more hazardous than facing the father.
Perhaps we women just use our "killer instinct" for protection of the home rather than world conquest or political games? That's possible.
But I would like to know what you think. Do women have that "killer instinct" that so many male leaders seem to possess?

I believe they do, but as u said - they reserve it for another time. I am one of the nicest ppl in the world, vary laid back and easy to get along with. But if ur negaive or hurt a child - speccily my son. Ur dead, I'll track u down and make ur life misrable till the day u die - if I fail to kill u on my first try.
EX: My son's father saw an oprotunity to have our son, my brother and myself put out on the streets so he and his latest preg gf would have a place to stay even tho the home owner thretened to call the cops if he brought his new gf onto the property. He would rather see is own son on the streets then go without sex for a day or two.
Ergo I sliced his mmmhmmmm so it was unusable for a few weeks.
Or the time when my mom ran my father (who wasn't actually my dad) over in the car when he tried to kidnap me a second time.
oh and btw, no one said i had to be totally stable either :D
