There’s been a picture circulating of Senator Brownback, a Republican running for president, speaking to a crowd in New Hampshire. Except, its not really a crowd – the auditorium is nearly empty.
Which begs the question – why do the candidates no one care about even try? Does Dennis Kucinich really wake up everyday and think “yeah, I’ve really got a good shot and running the presidency someday.” I know that some people would say that it’s because they believe in their ideas – but honestly, both parties have more articulate people saying the same things.
I do admit they have a small base - one that’s probably super encouraging. I think that ego plays a small part in it too – as does probably some sort of an inertia of “well, I’ve been doing it this long, might as well keep trying.” I dunno though, I don't think I could stand being that reduntant.
Your thoughts?

i think its because they have put their whole life in to politics, raised the money to even be considered to be a canidate they figure might as well take it to the end

respect my intelligent sag swag.
Why does a mother protect a crying baby? Why do islamic extremist blow themselves up? Why does Kucinich even show up? Simple, becasuse they think they are doing what is best for the people around them.

There was a blog recently about candidates like that. It was called, I beleive, Corporate Media Won't let the public pick the next President. On that, he showed a poll that stated that most people thought that Kucinich won the Democratic debates. There were similar results in the Republican debates. The long shot Ron Paul had the most positive votes and least negatives. One of the reasons people think that these candidates really have no chance is because they are described, constantly, as the long shot's, or the underdogs. Do I think Kucinich will win the Democratic Primary? Probably not, but I don't think he'll do quite so terribly as people think.

you have to admire the fact they are trying
they believe in something and they are trying their hardest to show people they believe they should be president.
Campaigns are their lives
You have to amire the fact that they are out there trying and standing up for what they believe.
