Time magazine made a poor choice. He removed any chance of rule by the people, After so much effort.
He has placed himself as one man rule. Putin.
Democracy is a very bad form of government, but all the others are so much worse.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
I do believe the current Leading US General in IRAQ has brought more effective change than Putin.
Then again Time Magazine made other poor choices for the cover, Hitler, Stalin to name a few.
I have worked for employers who are absolute dictators. I could name a few funeral home owners. A few Newspaper publishers, Corporate and religious Leaders. They are not worth anyones time.
Their motto: My way or the highway. I have had supervisors who emotionally put employees to death.
When FDR died an executive came down out of the Tribune building in Chicago and passed out $10.00 bills saying "it's a great day for America."
Dictators are everywhere in all societies at all times. In all professions. Their Kingdoms rise and fall.
Maybe we should just yawn at Time Magazine's man of the year.

Person of the Year doesn't mean he/she has to be a "good person" obviously many people don't realize that. Hitler and Stalin were indeed good choices not because of their "good influence" but hell they made a impact whether it was bad or good...as far as Putin goes, they could have found someone better.

Clearly General Petraus or The Pres of Iran, brought more change this year.
Putin is a yawner, because the change will not last.
I agree Putin was not a good choice.

Churchill pulled off the miracle of Dunkirk,
Every boat in England picked soldiers up off the beaches in France.
FDR Secretly sided with Churchill when The populace was against it.
They stood alone against the greatest evil the world has ever seen. ALONE.
Where are men of character today?
Name me one.
i ask can anyone at Progressive U to name the leader of today with character.
Or someone who can effectively bring about change.
Bill Clinton and Bill O'Reilly are not the guys.
