Patience

I have recently noticed that as a society our patience has grown shorter and shorter. I was driving in my car the other day going..THE SPEED LIMIT!..which is something hardly anyone does these days and I was getting beeped at. Apparently the speed limit means that you have to go at least 5mph more than what is posted. I was wondering what has happened to us that we have no patience for people who drive the speed limit or like to stroll through a store instead of run around. It seems like no one can just sit and enjoy life anymore.

I am no exception to this.

I was surfing the internet the other day and the pages were loading slower than they usually do. I got very frustrated at the internet and went as far as restarting my computer to make it go faster. Funny, I can still remember when my internet was run off of a 56K modem instead of the 1000x faster cable we have now. What happened that I cannot wait a few seconds longer?

Personally, I have challenged myself to not be in such a rush. Life goes by too quickly to be impatient. I want to enjoy what life has given me and not race through life. This past school year went by so fast that I don’t know what happened to the time. I don’t want my life to be like that and I don’t think the rest of us want it to either.

Yes, it is natural for species to go extinct. I agree with you on that. However, because of the over harvesting vessels and demand of certain products, valuable resources are becomming lesser and lesser @ a-not-so-normal rate. Thus you are right: something needs to be done so that--in the case of the fish--their population can repopulate to healthier numbers.
I agree with you, I do not want to be the cause of un-natural extinction.

Thank you for the comment!
