Being green is easy! Keep tabs on this blog and I'll let you in on a few easy ways to go easy on the environment without breaking the bank. I am talking about more than just the "change to CFLs" blogs that are a dime a dozen. There are a lot of blogs out there with great content, and I'll be sure to get you to those. Through extreme measures, many bloggers, such as greenasathistle.com and no impact man are showing that a smaller footprint is possible and it isn't that hard. I think the main driving force is wanting to do what you know is best for the planet. The first time I saw greenasathistle's blog, I couldn't conceive that she could live with a fridge! I a mean really! That seemed extreme. But I can see how it is a realy great thing to do. Am I ready to do that? No, not yet. But canning! Wait till I get started on canning! I am hoping to stop buying canned veggies by this summer. Between canning organic beans I purchase and preserving what I harvest from the garden, I hope to avoid the plastic coated convience foods that this country is so dependent on.
