I've been looking around and have noticed that many people have made introductions about themselves so here is mine:
My name is Leah Francis and I am seventeen years old. I'm planning to go to Northern Arizona University in Fall 2008 however I have no way of paying for it...like many others. I like this blogging scholarship because I LOVE to type and ask peoples opinions and even debate! Its fun, however some topics are rather mundane, even some of the ones I'll post. I also like to write poetry so maybe someday you'll see that around! Hahaha.
Well lets see, what else should you know? I want to be a tornado chaser--mainly to better the future of meteorology and help people in tornado alley who may not have time to reach safety. I know in some cases the technology that warns people of tornadoes isn't the best and is rather worn down. I want to change that, as well as find advanced techniques to predict tornadoes and such and so forth. It's a passion I have which many people think is weird because I'm an Arizona girl, and we don't get many tornadoes in Arizona! Hahaha! Which may be why at NAU I have to take geology...which is another post entirely.
Well, that's pretty much it! I love to laugh, I love my friends and family, and I can be very controversial. Hope to talk to you later!

Well, we really don't need to know you. We'd like to, but there are a few blogs like "Introduce Yourself" for that, and you can make a bio on your homepage. That being said, welcome to ProU.

No problem. And, hey, a Tornado Chaser is interesting.

That's a really interesting job choice. Quite thrilling, dangerous, and risky! lol Sounds like a bunch of fun! That job is so important like we just saw in the last two weeks. Tornados this spring have been predicated to be really bad.
