I love ART! I think it’s apart of ever person’s day on this earth! Everywhere you look something has been designed for our eyes, for our souls! When people say art, others usually associate the word with a painting or a sculpture. But there is so much more in art then just those two. I mean those types of art are great, just things I’m personally not great at.
My art is definitely film. When I watch films I see the artist working and creating all those shots compromised together to create stories or messages for the viewers. Some people like to contradict me when I say filmmaking is an art. That is okay because that just makes it even more of an art, because they are enjoying the film without realizing someone designed that film for the viewer to enjoy.
I’m currently attending school for film and I LOVE it! I can’t wait to make my ideas into real films! Every time I look at something I want to put it in a film. I don’t mean what I’m looking at; I mean how I’m looking at it. Film is just someone’s pair of eyes showing you what he or she sees and how the or she sees it.
It can be beautiful, it can be ugly, and it can be moving! Just like that piece of art sitting in the gallery!
Film is my Art!!

I'm glad you have a passion for film. Films can definitely have a unique effect on people.
I'm seriously considering majoring in film and media! But what worries me is that I have no experience whatsoever in the area...
the funny thing about experience is that everyone who has experience at one point in their life they didn't have it. So if you are interested you should start getting experience!!! Its so much fun!
But since I'm getting so close to having to make a final decision on what to major in, I'm afraid that my interest is just one of my passing interests that fade away...
What do you suggest doing to see if I really want to do this?
I definitely agree with your opinion. I plan to major in film next year when I go to college, and this post is so true. I find myself all the time critiquing movies, looking at the shots, and how they are put together. Sometimes its annoying when you just want to relax and have fun, but I shouldn't complain because I still love movies.
