Rape is something that most people forget about. Not only does it exist in our world, but it is increasing dramatically. Not all rape cases are reported.
Some girls state that they are raped when they aren't. Why do they state they are raped then since it is such a big deal in society? Some girls do it to cover up for something that they have done. For example, a Pennsylvania teenager told police that she was raped in her school bathroom, she gave a description of her supposid attacker and police found someone with a matching description, later on, she admitted to making it up so she wouldn't get in trouble. If she didn't admit to making it up, the innocent student would have been sentenced to parole or jail.
Some girls go off and cry wolf because they cannot admit to what they have done. Not only is this morally wrong, it effects other people. Innocent people to be exact.
Because of this, most girls who are raped don't report that they are. Why? They don't think that anyone would believe them since so many girls misuse the right to accuse someone of rape. Girls who are raped feel that if they tell, no one would believe them and they would be harassed.
This is wrong, wouldn't we want to persecute people who rape others? Why do we want to make something up so we can cover our own tracks? We WANT people to report mishaps like this, we DON'T want them to hide. Would you want a rapist lurking around your neightborhood because he went unreported because a girl was too afraid to report it?

The numbers of those who make false accusations are relatively small. And doing so is a crime in itself.
False accusations have little to do with why women often don't report rape. Women don't report it because:
And bear in mind that when you hear about something in the news like false reporting of crimes, you are hearing it because it is relatively rare.
A) the trueorigin of the word news is the plural of new, not North, East, West, South, which is a newer concept. In French the word news is les nouvelles, the plural of the word new.
B) the many daily robberies and burglaries in most major cities aren't reported by media because they are simply too common.
Yeah, when people claim to be raped and then later the say that they weren't it only discredits the real victims and it makes them harder to get help.
ok so girls do but that just means "some" so for the rest of us who say we are raped probally are. Why would someone want to lie about something so serious?
Alot of times it's he said she said....consensual or non-consensual. Getting a DNA fluid sample doesn't prove rape, especially if the woman rolled over and played dead just to get it over with. What an examiner can find...mild internal bruising...a backache, lascerations can easily be written off as rough sex. Possibly rough consensual sex.
So lets add the actual act of rape, followed by an intrusive and painful physical and mental exam, to hanging out with a cop or two while the neighbors start rumors about you outside...followed by a thorough investigation where testimonies of your life and character are taken from your friends and family members...people who claim to know you, but don't...a rundown of the police lineup to make sure that was the guy...further investigations of your story to make sure it doesn't change, because believe me...you are on trial every bit as much as he is. The D.A. decides whether there is enough evidence to pursue the case. In my case after over a year of waiting as all my friends turned their backs on me and my family remained embarrassed and somewhat judgemental...I was encouraged to pursue a civil action or let it go.
So after I explained all that...does it make sense why so many women chose to not report it. You are literally put through hell with no guarantee of justice and then treated like Britney Spears was when she went into the mental hospital. Thank God when it happened to me, there was no MySpace.
Would you call the police, considering the fact that we are still prosecuting and blaming the victim every bit as we are the perpetrator?

Yeah thats true but that still doesnt mean we should believe that ever women or girl who says there rape is lying. And you right we do need to progress. You know what. You want to hear something crazy. Me and my friend were at a party and woke up at a hospital b/c someone laced our drinks and the bad part about it is i wasnt drinking alcohol. I didnt even put my cup down. So i dont know what happened. Its crazy how someone is willing to just take advantage of people. I mean i feel like i souldnt even go to parties scared my drink might get laced again. Should we have to live like that having to keep looking behind our backs.
