No, i believe that america will lose will some of its upper hand as a world power if a woman is elceted president. I am not saying a woman cant handle the challenge but many countries that we are dealing with view women as lower class then men. If there is a woman president i think america would be taken almost as a joke. I believe an African American male would be more acceptable by other countries and ours, just to have that firm male hand leading the country.
Dont think I am viting for either way because alot can happen in a year for an election.

Hilary isn't just a woman though without any kind of connections that would make her powerful. I doubt too she would be viewed very lowly if other countries recognize who her husband is. And also, what does it matter what everyone else thinks? She is running to lead our country; not theirs.

but we arent electing Bill into the White House we are electing Hilary, now are we
I know we are, but people who vote for her seem to think he will be involved too.
And for the record, I'm not voting for her.

there are a lot more countries than you think that have a women as president or prime minister
have you actually researched about females heads of state?
if you have then you would know what I am trying to say and that is why your argument has no value and makes very little or no sense
"Pride is concerned with who is right. Humility is concerned with what is right."
there approx. 40 women in head of state including countries like finland, chile, and switerland....WOW major world powers.
there is also Germany- which is fast becoming a really good country to live in (forget past history and i am talking about its current economic status) then there is also India and Pakistan had a women in preisdent for 8 years and she might be coming back in power
and regradless of what kind of power or status you think that a country might have, most basics of leadership require the same/similar characteristics to be present in a person for them to lead
i think you won't admit that it is wrong to think the way you do and I don't want to keep going in circles without reaching an intelligent conclusion

Have to say you seem to have done little or now reasearch on this. There are many female heads of state. It's our country not theirs and while they might have a different culture, there's no reason why we can't do what we want. That's said I don't think Hillary is a paticularly good choice. I'm not impressed with her record or her husband's. But there no reason in the why a women can't be president.
i just dont think the outcome of electing a woman president would benefit America just yet, especially if it is Hilary Clinton since many believe they will be voting in Bill.
I think a woman as president would be a good thing! It would show that we are diversified and that we ARE all equal. I think we would be setting a good example for other countries. I'm not sayign that I'll vote for Hillary though.
i understand your diversity point but i dont now if America could handle a woman president yet...they couldn't even handle a Catholic in the 60's.
I mean. Wait. Do you know who Margaret Thatcher is? Well... just in case you were wondering, she was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Anyways, Margaret Thatcher would probably just ignore the absolutely unsupported argument made above.
The fact is... Hilary Clinton's legitimacy has nothing to do with her gender. Barack Obama's religion has nothing to do with his level of experience. The only reason why the nation is not ready to vote a woman or a black muslim into power is because of the beliefs perpetuated by people like you.
Who cares what other countries say if we had a women as a president. A lot of countries dont like us or talk bad about us with a male president now, so whats the difference besides them saying she and not he? If she is qualified and has all the right ideas and can make things work then why not?

Now we are just heading back to Wilson's isolationism vs TR's major involement and being a major world power.
I'm a woman, and I think she should be the LAST person that becomes president. ~AnGeLa~
