WORK

Getting a job may be fun at first but can be bullshit for a while for me. The first job that I got made me feel very happy in the beggining because it made me think that the company paid higher than minimum wage. They gave me $10 an hour to start with, so I thought that it is better than working at a fastfood restaurant making only $6.75 per hour. When they hired me they told me to start 3 am, and I was like "WHAT'", and at the same time thinking that they will change my hours if i stayed longer with the company. So then I worked from 3:30 am to 6:30, which is only three hours and I know it is not worth waking up for. Well i couldnt find any other job so I took that Instead. For the first few weeks i could get up easily and work through those times and look forward in working because i thought i was making easy money. It was easy money because the only thing that i was doing was sorting boxes that people send out. Yet by the time I reached my 1st month the company got more busy everyday because the customers sent more boxes and heavier ones too. Plus the people who were ahead of me, such as the lead sorter, started to act all shitty to me. When we got busy i thought that it wasnt worth it, and i was getting tired off all the bullshit that they are giving me. I was thinking of quiting but i had shit to pay for my own needs and i couldnt find another job. So then i ask my supervisor for at least and hour extra, and he gave me an hour extra to work on the computers. But now I have to deal with all the bullshit for an extra hour. It can be c crappy job but I have to deal with it until i find a better job.

Sadly enough, there are a lot of jobs out there that just plain suck. I personally think it has to do with what you like to do. I worked as a cashier twice and absolutely hated the jobs. I worked in one nursing home and I loved the work... but the co-workers were incredibly juvenile and made things a lot more difficult than they had to be (as were the co-workers at the second nursing home.. juvenile I mean, but they did do their jobs and do them well). I now do home health and it's pretty decent... of course my supervisors are constantly calling me to work a shift (even if I'm already scheduled for that shift) and some of the patients can be hard to deal with.... but I'd much rather do this than another cashier job. Hell, I'd rather do just about anything than cashier again. But, I'm satisfied with home health.

Sounds like a crappy job. I feel for you, but how is this progressive? Try tying it in to the big picture.
