I have been drawing since I have been 10 years old. At least to a point where I could draw well. I have always found something wrong with my drawings. But I may just have been to hard on myself.
I won an art contest when I was in 3rd grade. Out of all the kids in the state I recieved second or first place. I can't remember. Alot of people have said I draw well, but I really don't know. I mainly draw pencil drawings because they are easy to erase, but recently I have been working with charcoal and clay. I did my first clay sculpture and I was proud of it because I have never done anything by memory or anything with clay for that matter.
I figured this was progressive because art is expressing yourself and I believe progress is expressing yourself and not being afraid to take risks. I am risking alot by attaching my drawings to this blog. I know there will always be someone who will not like my artwork but there may be some people who will enjoy it.
I am going to try to tackle painting next because it seems more challenging and I am up for a good challenge. I am currently working on a drawing of Charlene Theron. I have always had trouble with shading and faces because if one little line is off in a drawing or painting especially on a person it can change the whole entire picture. I have 8 pictures of my drawings attached to this blog. If you would like to look thats why I posted them.lol
I may not get anyone to read this because this really isn't such a good blog but I really hope people view my drawings and please give comments, critism, or whatever you would like. Thanks!

you do draw well...don't doubt it...I really really like the first one..and I agree that art is progressive
I won a 3rd grade art contest too :] It was in this huge auction, but my parents bought it so I have it still. I like the first one too. Keep it up, even if you don't become famous it is a good way to express emotions and creativity. Good work!

You are excellent at faces and figures! The best I can do is a stick figure, although not due to the lack of trying. It's amazing how some people are able to capture faces and expressions so well!
This was a good idea, Dani. Art really can be progressive. Dang, now I want to do a similar post....sheesh.
You have an individual style which is great because then I don't feel like I've seen this before. I like the idea of the girl behind the chainlink fence. Her fingers got a little skewed, but it's still a really good picture.
I've been avoiding pencil drawings and shading with pencil because it tends to get smudgy. I've been trying some different art forms. Last year in high school I was really focused on magazine collage (one of which ended up as my profile picture here) and right now I've been playing with a technique called pointillism, in which a picture is constructed with only dots.

I love pointillism. And go ahead and post a blog about art you give me ideas and I give you ideas. I want to try tempra I believe that is what it is called. It is where you take egg yolk let it dry and put it on wood or stone and paint over it. Pencil can get smudgy but if you are careful you can get it not to smudge. Thanks for all the other comments from everyone else also! They are very much appreciated! Those are actually some of my older drawings. The butterfly is one I did when I was 16 and Tupac was when I was 17. The charcoal women... I'll call it was one I recently did. I have just recently got back into drawing because for around 2 years when my mom was sick and after she passed away I didn't have a desire and time to draw. I think as I draw when I post a blog even if it isn't about art I will attach a drawing. That's an idea!

Wow.Wow. Oh yeah and Wow again. You draw very beautifully. Even though most people would not consider it a blog, it's all about the art of the blog. I consider it one . I am good at drawing too but I would pick up a book first before I would draw. Maybe that is just pure lazyness. The one I liked the most was the Tupac one. You are very talented.

MY sister started painting on plywood, she says it's cheaper than canvas, and the wood adds some awesome backgroud atmosphere.
