Vegan Couple Starves Newborn to DEATH!

So you’re a vegan. Does that mean your newborn son has to be. In recent news, a malnourished baby died of starvation because its vegan parents refused to supplement it with the food it needed to survive. This is so awful that people could actually do this to a child who was only a few months old. I’m pretty sure if you’re baby was 3 ½ pounds, you would notice! Come on, a newborn weighs approximately 5-6 pounds. It’s really important for babies to gain weight after they’re born, so why put them on a malnourishing diet? Why starve an innocent child out of sheer selfishness? This is so wrong.

ATLANTA - A vegan couple were sentenced Wednesday to life in prison for the death of their malnourished 6-week-old baby boy, who was fed a diet largely consisting of soy milk and apple juice.

Superior Court Judge L.A. McConnell imposed the mandatory sentences on Jade Sanders, 27, and Lamont Thomas, 31. Their son, Crown Shakur, weighed just 3 1/2 pounds when he died of starvation on April 25, 2004.

The couple were found guilty May 2 of malice murder, felony murder, involuntary manslaughter and cruelty to children. A jury deliberated about seven hours before returning the guilty verdicts.

Was there any information about how much the infant was fed and how often? Specifics on the case would be enlightening.

Amazing what can happen when people dive headfirst into a fad.

Humans are omnivores. This not only means that we can eat both plants and animals, but that we SHOULD eat both plants and animals.

Most people are unable to live on a vegan diet and have a HEALTHY body (even if they can trick themselves and others into believing otherwise) and babies need the protein and fats found in REAL milk.
