It is truly amazing to see how people change over the years. You think you know someone and then all of a sudden you are looking at the person wondering why you ever hung out with them or cared for them in the first place. Sometimes we build up so many exspectations for the people we once cared about, that we find those people are unable to live up to what or who we thought they were. It is almost as if we need these people to be that spectacular so that we have a reason to want to hold onto the memories of times long ago. When in reality, we are just trying to hold onto a feeling that we had in the presence of that person and we desperately want to feel that way again. What we really need to do is reach deep within ourselves and find that feeling from within because at the end of the day all you have is you. People are going to change and people come and go but you will always have yourself. Once you find peace and happiness within yourself, you no longer expect so much from the rest of the world.

I have no friends. I thought I knew them all so well after 14 years..but I didn't. But there is less drama in my life. I like the way you put depend on yourself because it is true you are really all you truly have.
