Greed.
A selfish, excessive desire.
It has become so mainstream,
So common in our present day.
Its connotation has become more and more reputable.
Something not to be ashamed of,
Although I believe it’s something to be looked down upon.
Some say it is controllable,
But I beg to differ.
There is something inside you
That triggers that crave.
A volcano of envy,
But is it controllable?
You can not control that
Volcano when it erupts.
Nowhere to put that searing lava,
But to release it with all of your greed.
A subconscious choice,
If I can place my finger on words
To describe this uncontainable want.
Would someone even dare to choose
This arrogant state of mind?
A QUESTION FOR YOU TO ANSWER:
What is greed to you? Is it controllable?
What are the things that you are greedy about? Why?
Where does greed originate?

Well, then you should blog about Greed and submit the poem to the CW site.
As I understand it, and I could be wrong, we're not accepting points for poetry unless you do a CW contest (there's one going on right now).
