differences in spirituality, but one is not less worthy than another. do not run, or chastise. the goal must be helping the cause, in a mostly peaceful fashion. it obviously didnt work with those perhaps telling pure truths (jesus)- we must find a new way. peaceful, still. otherwise you are contradicting the cause entirely and no one will listen. everything is a biproduct of itself (evolution for example), thus a contradiction of itself, thus contradictions have to be okay, thus nothing matters (hmm?). it is blashpemous to try and completely demolish sin and evil, let alone hypocritical. there may always be chaos; we are monkeys dontcha know. i used to hate the saying 'curiosity killed the cat'; perhaps we are a real-life video game (?). gold and oil set out for us to find and use for specific purposes. where will it all lead, though? what is it for? maybe one day we will run out. maybe magma is fuel for extraterrestrial life? most sightings occur on the coast of california, from new mexico to washington state. ring of fire.
neflim killed the dinosaurs.
aliens- came from venus! only if it is truly possible that venus was once capable of life. if any of you remember my strange rant on the sun shifting from planet to planet, this is a revised version of something i was trying to explain. and yes i think christians can believe this, without being biased. wrd?

I don't mean to be combative, but you're beating down my blog, which is now at the bottom of the recent posts list. It's cool that you have a lot to say, but several blogs in half an hour is rude to other recent posters.

i don't know what to say. i'm a new blogger, so i have a lot jumbled in a notebook that i want people to respond to.
If you want people to comment, slow your roll. It pisses people off when the recent posts list is full of posts by the same author. If you have a notebook full, then you have plenty to save for another day. Space them out. One, maybe two a day. People won't read your stuff on principle if you hog the recent posts list.

It's just like when you're trying to have a discussion in class or anywhere else. If there are a number of people all wanting to have their opinions heard and one person is taking over the conversation, it's rude. It's more respectful to wait in between posts. I don't want to tell you what to do, but I know others like me will be offended when their blogs get bumped off the recent posts by a series of posts by the same person. I'm quite new to ProU too and I think most all of the people going for the scholarship are a bit overzealous at first. However, several posts within an hour is extreme. Maybe someone from ProU can chime in on this one.

Well I feel like they have attacked your poor timing enough. I'm gonna attack a completely different aspect of your blog. The content.
Granted I didn't read the blog this blog is referancing( and you should put those kinds of disclaimers at the top of your blog so I dont waste my time trying to sort through a jumble of nothing) but I have a feeling I would be just as dumbfounded now even if I had read the first one.
This is a ridiculious rant about nothing in particular. Was it supposed to be profound or did you really leave off the other blog at one point and start it back up here?
Or are you just looking through you journal for a bunch of stuff you have already written so you can type it all up and get as many points as possible? That really wont work. I've seen a few people put their publishings on here but not many of them.
You sound like a interesting person with many ideas, but please read what you've wrote and then write what you thought.
I want to hear your opinions, not what your opinions used to be, and if your here just for the schoolarship your not going to win. The site and schoolarship are about progress not points.
i still think you're all being completely unfair. what does it matter if someone doesn't get a chance to read your post. and anyway, every refreshed page shows different ones entirely anyway. this is pretty unfair.
also, this blog is not about nothing. it is about something i've been thinking about a lot lately- theories mostly, but also about unconditional love and understanding. your comments make me really uncomfortable. and fairly confused as to why you would all complain about something that shouldn't even matter.
You're right that we've come on strong, but there's a reason behind it. We love this site and the staff have done a kick butt job trying to make it the best blog ever. We want you to blog here, but we also just want to help you along. The link I posted above should answer a lot of your questions. You're new, so it's not that big of a deal. Just know that the way that you're blogging now probably won't help you achieve your goals for this blog.

I did not mean to shoot you down like that. The point I was trying to make is your blog does not get your message across because it is just your thoughts written down as you have them. There is no reasoning, no question, no argument.
It lacks key elements necessary to a discussion, Which is what I think you wanted to start. You have been thinking about this a lot, apparently, but your just writing down the conclusions you came to, not the path that lead you to them. I have no idea what you are saying. Look at this:
differences in spirituality, but one is not less worthy than another. do not run, or chastise. the goal must be helping the cause, in a mostly peaceful fashion. it obviously didnt work with those perhaps telling pure truths (jesus)- we must find a new way. peaceful, still.
What differances in spirituality? The ones between differing religions or individual people? What cause are you talking about, the religious cause of the individual religions, or the cause of religion as a whole? And what must continue to be peaceful, what do you mean by it didn't work out for Jesus?
I love discussing beliefs and love and romance and whatever you can come up with for the most part. I just need to know what you want to disucss.
Interesting...
Okie, First: Cherepub,
Welcome to Progressive U! I sincerely hope that you're finding your way around the site well. As you'll notice, our members tend to hold themselves (and others) to a higher standard of blogging than most other social-networking and blogging sites. Spelling, grammar, flow of ideas, research, and formatting are all key points that will help build your readership and earn our members' respect.
As you can see here, Posting several blogs in a row is not helpful to your cause. The fact that it crowds out the "Recent Blog Posts" list is the smallest of worries - although it is the worry most members seem to care about first. However, it also buries your own posts all lumped together below other users'. If you don't already have a strong readership - many people will not find your blog entries.
Although they may have come off harsh or even sounded unfair, All the commentary thus far is doing is really trying to help you out.
Second: Ediblewoman and AmericanGirlInChina,
I realize that these comments are meant with good intentions...and everything you've said is right. Progressive U is meant for everyone to discuss in a comfortable environment the things that are important to them. And when one person monopolizes that discussion, it can be very frustrating.
However - these comments are often best left in the form of a Private Message with discretion. I've found that these comments take away from the blog entries completely and do little to help promote a comfortable atmosphere to discuss matters anyway. In the future, I would suggest that such advice be sent through a PM; it's more personable, it won't be construed as a personal attack or as though people are ganging up on someone, and it won't detract from the blog itself (no matter the content of the blog).
The only time I leave such advice in the form of a comment is when I've been asked to - such as with this case, or if the blogger has tagged his or her blog with "Critique my Writing". Otherwise, if advice has not been solicited, any advice I have is sent via PM in a discreet manner.

I realized later and definitely do now that was hasty in giving advice to cherepub since it was my blog that was getting beat down. I'm sorry for that, cherepub. I eco my other comments that I want to read your blog and feel welcome, but I was too harsh.
I'll work on being more gentle on the blog, especially when it comes to newbie mistakes. I'm still a newbie myself and this is my mistake.
