The week is so hectic and floating around in chaos
The spin of everything hanging in suspension in the air
Staring into space you see the people falling out of the building
The mother praying the family will be okay
The two month year old baby is the only thing on her mind
Flames crawl to the top of the post office
Reducing the mail and the P.O. Boxes to ash
Scattering in the air smearing your vision
Causing you to cough
Then
A car careens out of porportion and
Crashes into the hardware store
The fire inside raises now burning hotter and more vile
Than your eyes and heart can bear
Children longing for their mother and some
Seeing, smelling, feeling, touching, remembering
Bone, sulfur, heat, ash, destruction,
DEATH
Now comes a bird flying through the air
A phoenix and it descends as in mach 3
There is a glow coming from it's body
A majestic one at that
As it sweeps over the children
You see them turn older into young adults
Yet their faces are bright and happy
The destruction is reassembling as it once were before
Though pieces and parts are changed however
It was once before compact
Now still but anew
The phoenix has a...
You see light emitting from it's whole being
And the bird looks into your eyes, you back
There inside you see the light of the world
And the beauty of a city on fire
It doesn't matter of the whole city or state fell
What matters is there is One who can build it anew
Let the let come pouring down like water
Let the wind blow it toward you
Let the eyes of the phoenix enlighten you
See, the city on fire wasn't so bad, was it?
