Tornado touchdown

Our county was on Tornado Warning last night around ten.  We thought that it would be just another severe thunderstorm. I asked my husband if we needed to take shelter, he said no because the storm was in Anna (which is about a half-hour drive). Okay, we went to bed. The first thing I was told this morning was two tornados did touchdown last night, and three were killed. The last tornado touchdown in Dallas, as I remember, should be in Ft Worth downtown three years ago. There was no casualties.

Among the three was a 14-year-old teen. I cannot imagine the grief of lossing a son in the tornado.  He was a charm, I guess. There is really nothing called a safe place on earth.  Misfortune can be suddenly at your door.

I agree, even Tornado Shelters wont protect us if nature's fury is strong enough!

Having been through a tornado, I can say it is scary. About two years ago we were in one, it wasn't a big one ony an F1 or F2 they said - ripped roofs off, uprooted trees and such...but it makes you appreciate life in a real big hurry.
