It's a God thing

Wow...all I have to say is that within the past year God has really been working in my life. I'm finally starting to see how he was wonderful, amazing for my life and I can't wait to see it unfold. I just want to let you all know how God has been working in my life and could work in yours.

One of the biggest areas where God has really been working in my life is college. Last year I was positive I knew where I wanted to go, and I even thought that's where God was calling me to go. It was small, Christian school, and I knew that I wanted to attend some Christian school. My parents encouraged me not to get too focused on one school, but keep looking into some others. Well, in the beginning of the September I made sure I had my application submitted and all my other information. It was November and I still hadn't heard from them, so I emailed my admissions counselor to find out if they had received all my stuff. Three emails, and two phone calls later I had never gotten a response, so I decided to look into other schools.

At this point, I had already applied to three Christian schools, and didn't really like any of them. The first one(mentioned above) had blown me off and showed no interest. The other two where too close to my home and I knew too many people that attended there. So I decided to look at fourth school. Every single contact I had made with them was amazing. First, my mom set up a visit for us to go down one day, no problem. A few weeks before I went down I went to a college fair, and talked to an admissions counselor from that school. She informed us that they had a guest room, for my mom, at no charge and I could spend the night with a student if it was available. We called to check and it was. When we went there the staff was great, they had everything set up, and ready to go. I decided that this was my number one choice of colleges.

After visiting that school I decided that I was willing to go where ever God wanted me to, anyone of the four schools I applied to. I prayed about it, and asked God to show me where he wanted me, by giving me the financial means to go there. It turns out that the school I want to go to is the only school giving me enough money to go there. God really worked that out because if it weren't for being blown off by my used to be first choice I never would've looked at the school I will be attending in the fall.

God really has blessed me with so much, and I am so grateful for him showing me what he wants me to do with the next four years of my life. I will continue to pray about my future, and hope it works out for the best. God bless.

...why not look a bit at your personal achievements instead of basically saying you did nothing and God fixed it all up for you?

I was just saying I left all into God's hands and asked him to show me where to go. If it wouldn't have been for a some of the things that happened I would've never found the school I now love.
