Today in my senior english class my teacher raised up the newspaper to show us an article. What we were looking at was a picture of Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, posing nude for a photoshoot. We're 17 and 18 years old, we know right from wrong, or we should, what kind of example is she setting for her disney channel viewers?
A fifteen year old girl, posing nude just to sell cd's and concert tickets, just so that her show ratings go up. I hope her parents realize that her daughter was the one who started the "posing nude for young girls" trend.
What I learned today was that sex truly does sell, whether or not your fifteen,twenty-one, or forty. People will do whatever it takes to get their face known. In my opinion, thats really sad. You would bare it all just so someone can get a quick shot of your face, your body, everything that is a gift to you just to make a couple of bucks. Society today has been more lean on anything. From showing vast drug use, to alcohol, to teenage sex, to pregnancies, to gays,lesbians, straight couples.
The one question I'd like to know if what goes through little kids minds. I'd like to ask Miley's viewers what they think of her pictures and if they would do it themselves. What do parents think now? Is Miley still the craze?
Parents are probably outraged. I believe this is an awful thing. Now their fans are going to think it is ok to pose nude and run around naked. It is similar to when Britney spears was showing her stomach. Young girls that idealised her started to do it. This is some what different but I see a correlation between the two. I also believe since they are so young many people will look down on them for doing that. But it could sell more of their merchandise who knows.

I imagine she was covered? Of course, there is no way you would have seen something like that in class. That is terrible especially considering that other girl getting pregnant (Brittney spears's little sister?) and all. Another blow to the teen image.
Lets get this straight, nude means naked. She was not by any means nude, if you really did more research you would know that SHE was the one who is upset with Vanity Fair for making it seem like she was, because that is NOT what she planned. After I read this blog I looked it up to see if there really was nude pictures. She was covered up and it showed nothing. Even though I don't think that a girl this age should be even covered up showing her back, she wasn't nude.
