War On terror, Or Correcting another country's mistakes?

News Blog. Is the War OVER or what???? They say the war is over...but we are still there. There are lots of web blogs saying that the war will be another 12 yrs. But what was our objective when we went? To just get the terrorists? No, every war, I think anyway; every war has so many reasons that on one can know all of them. Mainly, I think it was because of the oil, but america needed a reason to keep the military. The military funds quite a lot of young people in work. They were giving out incentives to make it more attrative. But it was like FDR's forest program during the depression, for a while anyway. The public works program. We need to keep a strong military or another cold war will start. To keep things in as much statis as possible, don't rock the boat and nobody will get hurt. I'm not prewriting this so its not very concise, but I'm trying. Hopfully I will get better as this goes along. Anyway, I was talking about reasons for the war. Another reason was the libratation of the women of irsial, and the donations of womens groups to the politition who started this. I have no proof, but I belive this was also a public relations thing, making the war more sympathic to the "NEW CAUSE." Also the people getting rich off of the oil, I've heard a few high profile names, were not caring about the energy crises we were having in pre 1998. Remember, all the hospitals were preparing for major blackouts. Hardware stores were having sales on generators, and CAlli was front page news almost every day; for being without power. I have heard nothing about the nuclear power plant we have, I assume its still running because the waste is premenant and the building was skyrocket expensive. They were talking about sending trash to space, instead of recycling. Which would have fueled the space industry, or mybe they were jsut thinking about sending nuclear waste to space. Peace will be hard to achive. But what is peace except statis for a while? ITs a worthwhile goal. ~Mybe~
