I personally think that there should be no death penalty. I think it's a horrible idea because the government is murdering a human being regardless if they are guilty or not. This seems very hypocritical to me that the government says that it is wrong to murder but than goes and murders people (not that I like murderers because I absolutely hate them).
I think the death penalty is immoral and inhumane no matter what way it is done. I don't think it's right that we pay tax payers dollars on these people being in prison but I think living their whole life out in prison is a worse punishment than death because in prison they could enact solitude and other unlikable punishments for the murderers. One idea is to put the criminal in solitary for the rest of their life and another idea would to have the criminal work at the prison as a prisoner paying reparations to the family of the the person that was murdered and then being in solitary for the rest of their time there. There are fates worse than death, and I believe that being alone for the rest of your life is one of them.
Overall I still think murderers should be punished but not by death because then the government is just setting a bad example by killing someone as well. We are not barbarians and there is no need to kill people to get our point across; we can find other ways and other forms of punishment.

to me the dealth penalty is actually letin the criminal off easy think about it sit in prision for all of your life locked up in a tiny cell its like torcher i think i rather be murdered by the gov
I agree. That's why I think the death penalty should be eliminated. There are worse things out there than death.
This country is based on many morals and one of them is Christianity. I am confused how a jury can sentence a person to the death penalty and be christans! The death sentance is wrong in every case.
