McDonald's: The College Student's Best Friend

Those warm double cheeseburgers, refreshing iced teas, and crispy fries are absolutely mesmerizing on McDonald's dollar menu commercial. As I watch, the enormous amounts of calories and fat are far from my mind. Late at night, convenience makes the calories seem like a minimal consequence. My friends and I go there all the time and feast on its variety of unhealthy delights. In our many travels, we have actually found ways to eat moderately healthy at this fast food empire. I often order grilled snack wraps, apple dippers, and fruit and yogurt parfaits, as opposed to double cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. The bill is a little more expensive and the first meal isn't as filling as the latter. But, hey, we were concerned with health.

One night, there was a special on about the McDonald's franchise. It is amazing!! I even started to consider owning a franchise but then I realized that I was a psychology major. A person can get very rich running their own McDonald's which in turn makes the company very rich. As a big business, franchise is the way to go!! It's almost like the head guys do half the work and make twice as much profit.

Just because you aren't a business major doesn't mean you still can't run your own franchise. In fact, I would think knowledge of psychology could be pretty useful in running a business. But it won't work nearly as well if you are only in it for the money.

I love McDonalds, I'm almost ashamed to admit it. I wish there was one closer to my school, even though there are two in the next town. I eat there too infrequently to be bothered with worrying about the calories.

I have a special place in my heart for Sausage McGriddles. And French Fries.

Also, hot fudge sundaes.

I will join you in your shame. ;-)

I'm more traditional: ILOVE the fries, and have been known to buy those and nothing else. Other than that, I'm a huge fan of the quarter pounder, and have gotten almost nothing else on the menu.

Even though I know exactly how those onions they use are made, I still sometimes crave them on a delicious McBurger. At odd hours of the day, too. Which is why it's good McDonald's is open so often. I am often torn between the quarter pounder and the double cheeseburger. But, sometimes, I just get the 2 cheeseburger meal that isn't even on the menu anymore. Then I can have fries as well. :-)

I also love Frostys from Wendy's, and have been known to dip their chicken nuggets into a Frosty as a tasty snack. Most people are skeptical of how tasty it is, but it's delicious, I promise. :-)
