In the news recently it was said the teacher's should carry guns to protect the students. But as a student I would not feel safe with a teacher carryinga gun because things could happen. For example a teacher slips and falls the gun could go off. Even maybe a student knowing that all teachers carry guns maybe bulled or something of another and deicide to accidental bump into a teacher and take the gun. Many things could happen when weapons are in an school environment. Therefore I believe teacher's should not carry guns in school. Please give me your feed back.

Yeah, I really don't agree with this. Even in my school which is a really underfunded country k-12 school we've got an on school police officer who is armed. I don't believe arming all of the teachers is going to do anything but make things harmful. As you said, what if a student overtook the teacher and got the gun? Realistically, is the teacher seriously going to gun down a student?
Yet, I don't believe an armed teacher is going to increase violence at all. Only make it a bit more accessible, as the student doesn't havea to sneak his weapon through metal detectors or under the watchful eye of an on school police officer, he just acquires it from his good teacher and then blows her head off :)
Good take, I was wondering when soemone was going to bring this topic up.
I like this topic. It bothers me so much that people would even suggest allowing teachers to carry pieces on their sides in a high school. The key word is high school. Now if people really think that some of these students are really going to allow teachers to do such a thing without the doing the same thing? Besides some students already have guns in school. But just to imagine teachers with guns, I can see some school shootouts in the future.
I heard the news also. It won't go through. It's a dumb suggestion anyway and I'm totally against it.

To those of you who have openly armed police in your school: how many times has a student tried to grab or take away the officer's gun? None. Repeat, none. It is truly a sad assessment of society when students respect an armed officer instead of their teachers. Don't forget: not every school has an officer in it, and one officer can be overwhelmed by several attackers, especially armed attackers.
Allowing teachers to carry concealed weapons in the classroom is already a protected right in 40 states. However, many school policies are against CCW in the classroom. This is the issue. Being that the guns would be concealed, how do you propose the deranged child figure out which teacher was carrying and where the gun is being carried on said teacher? Without knowing those two things, it would be rather difficult to “get those guns”.
Do you realize that Utah allows teachers to carry concealed? Not only can I not find a single incident of a teacher being disarmed in Utah, I can’t even find a single shooting having taken place in a school there. Utah law now makes clear schools can't prevent people with concealed-weapons permits from carrying firearms on campuses. No deaths have occurred, and I guarantee you that criminals will think twice about attacking these schools. I would certainly not hesitate to send my kids to such a school.

Additionally, Israel allows armed security guards in their schools. They are not fond of "gun-free zones", AKA "victim disarmament zones".
Are you honestly afraid of guns? If so, your condition is called holopholobia, and is a treatable condition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoplophobia
teachers should def not be able to bring guns to school. i mean adults are prone to anger too.
