Could national attention hurt my school?

Trust me when I say this, I like the national attention just as much as the next Saluki fan that has come our way in the past few weeks. As you all know, our projected NCAA seed is anywhere from two to four. We will be featured in next week's addition of Sports Illustrated and we are the talk of the national sports media. Could all of this attention be a bad thing for the Salukis come tournament time? We must remember last year Bradley, Wichita State and George Mason all entered the tournament well beneath the radar of the national media. They were the crowd favorite underdog. This year, if things pan out like we all hope, SIU will not be an unknown team, will not be under the national sports radar and we'll get the attention of every opposing team in the tournament. So I say, be careful what you wish for when you crave more national media attention for the Salukis.

I'm not really up on the whole sports thing but don't let the attention get to ya. People don't want to celebrate a losing team that could've won but didn't because their heads were to big.

This is my first year at the school and Im just pumped for every game but even I can feel the pressure. We are under 3weeks until the Brackets are announced its going to be nerve racking
