Safety Behind The Wheel
As a teenage driver, I have experienced many mishaps when driving on the road. I must admit, I don’t always wear my safety belt once I get behind the wheel. That’s why I am writing this, because I want to be able to have a change of heart (and others also) when deciding to take to the road again.
It is said that two-fifths of deaths among teens has resulted in motor vehicle accidents. Factors that play in these deaths are, drinking while under the influence, intoxication of a drug, and some times, even failure to wear a seat belt.I think that in order to enhance driver safety education, it takes patience, understanding and responsibility. Today, there are some people who are not dedicated to teaching about the dangers of poor driving habits. As a teenager, I feel it is a duty to be able to assist in educating teen drivers by:
Advocating a “Safety First” Driving Instruction prior to receiving a driver’s license. If the driver has already received their driver’s license, they will still be allowed to attend the class.
Also have assimilations in which they get to experience what perils lay ahead if they make a poor choice when driving.
Remember: 2/5 of teens die as a result of motor vehicle crashes.
Don’t be one of them!

i dont drive yet, but im going to- i hope im safe
i hate driving with some of my friends- im surprized they havent gotten into accidents yet b/c they are maniacs on the road!!
I hate when people assume teens are horrible drivers. I am 18 and have never had a problem. It is a poor sterotype. Homicide is the number one cause of death in America. Maybe second I cant remember. What are you doing to stop that?
Not all teens are horrible drivers, but those that are kill not only themselves--but thier friends or family members as well. Alcohol is the third leading cause of death in America (look to the AAA website for statistics) and most come from drivers (many under 21) who drink.
