GOVERNMENT REFUND CHECKS

The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate.
>
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China..
>
If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
>
If we purchase a computer it will go to India.
>
If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
>
If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.
>
If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan...
>
And none of it will help the American economy.
>
The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes, weed, beer, cigarettes, whiskey, and tattoos, since these are the only products still produced in the USA. Thank you for your help & please support the U.S

It's sad but true. The government is trying to help, but the money has to come from somewhere and when we spend it we get things we need trmporarily, but overall we're spending money we don't really have and it's not even really going to our country. Granted that all economies are linked, if you're going to stimulate the American economy then you need to find a way to keep it in the American economy. Think about it.

I agree. One of the ways we can support our local economies is to lobby our representatives to reverse the insane international trade policies that have brought about the root of the situation you describe. We need to ride a new wave of protectionism.

Coal is to shaving as nuclear power is to waxing. For the time being, they are both relatively cheaper options, and each is a fast fix to the energy problem. Now, factor global warming back in --"Hairy Sustainability" by A-squared, a ProU blogger

Well, at least we'll have fun spending our stimulus checks while supporting the American economy.....
