So why are Christians so quick to attack a person for being homosexual, and not attack a corporation or someone who is overly wealthy? Many Christians believe that a sin is a sin none greater none less. Well why blatantly attack only homosexual individuals with such ferocity? In the Bible it says that acting on homosexuality is a sin, but it also says being overly wealthy is a sin. Telling a lie is a sin, cheating is a sin. We all sin, so why do they try to persecute homosexuals for their “Sinful” behavior, yet leave other sinners alone to do their bad deeds? Correct me if I’m wrong please but I don’t see the church constantly reminding wealthy business owners or very wealthy individuals that what they are doing is a sin. I mean why pay so much attention to one sin, yet not really say much about other sins. Christianity is really selectively excluding individuals from Gods love for certain sins, yet have open arms or hands for other sinners whose sin is having too much money. I don’t think that Christianity is sticking to their belief that a sin is a sin. I think they are selectively scrutinizing certain sins over other sins. Christians should stop putting so much focus on homosexuality and just accept that it is there and its not going to go away. It may be a sin in the bible but stop beating a dead horse. Stop discriminating against individuals that want to love God too. Stop looking at homosexuals like they are the plague. They may sin but we all sin and we can all be good people despite our sins. We can still love God despite the fact that we are sinners. So just live with it, and deal with it. Homosexuals deserve Gods love too.

and Christianity you're referring to is really just the baptist church...and maybe even just the westboro baptist church (www.godhatesfags.com).
Opulence is not a sin either, it is just that when one becomes increasingly wealthy, one becomes more vulnerable to worshipping money as god instead of God Himself.
I agree with your last sentence totally though.
I know I'm going to catch flak for this, but this is why homosexuality is such a big deal to Christians: future implications for society. Some people will say there is no adverse effect on children who are raised by two dads or two moms, some people do. Clearly, either someone is lying, or no one really knows the answer.

If you want to see who is "lying" about this issue, just look at the evidence. The children of gay parents have been studied extensively, and the evidence has consitently shown that those kids do just as well as they peers with straight parents. If someone is telling you otherwise, they are lying (or perhaps just poorly informed).
Implying that "no one really knowns the answer" is just a cop-out to cover the fact that one side of this argument really don't have anything concrete to support it.

Most Christians who actually at least try to adhere to the teachings of Christ don't make too big of a deal about the homosexuality thing. Most of us agree that it's a sin and move on with our lives. Sadly, it's the people that make a huge deal of it and condem others are the ones that get the most attention. I'm a Christian; I have gay/bi friends; not all Christians are horrible gay-hating-Bible-thrashers.
