Obama Vs. Clinton: A Student's Point Of View

I think that before you decide who to support, I think that you should look more at the issues rather than your particular feelings toward one of the candidates. I think that just being an african american doesn't necessarily mean that you have to support Barack Obama. If Hilary is more in tune with what you believe then that is who you should support. If you truly do agree with all of Obama's views on different issues, then by all means support him. Even if you are a woman then that does not mean that you have to support Hilary. Neither Barack nor Clinton are perfect. They both have their own flaws. Clinton has an advantage over Obama because she has been in politics a lot longer than Obama and she knows how to play the game. She is just more experienced than him but that is not always a good thing. Her being back in office will basically be the same as having Bill in office. He will run the presidency just as she ran it when he was in office. She is also the type of person that makes promises that sound good but can't be delivered as stated. She wants to bring the troops home from Iraq but it will not be that easy because if we just bring our troop out then all the time that we have spent there already will be a waste because their government will most likely collapse. You also have to consider that since Clinton has been in politics a lot longer than Obama so all of her skeletons have already come to the surface. Barack as a new comer is just now being exposed to scandals and false stories. Well whoever you support make sure that you choose based on the issues and not just race or gender.

Well, you sure are nice to Hillary. She really doesn't know how to play the game in my opinion. I could go on to state numerous things but anybody who knows what I am talking about won't need me to. If you would like examples I can give them, but I really don't feel like typing that many things out.

I do agree on the fact that we need to vote for the candidate we believe is best suited for our country and our own good. Not because Hillary is a woman or because Obama is a black man. Unfortunately, many people will be blinded by their opinions without even knowing it, and vote for one or the other based on subconscious ideas.
