From Bright Pink Braces

The same little girl who wore Harlem Tee Shirts, And beads around her jeans, And had bright pink braces, And bushy hair. The same girl who wore tight jeans, With no pockets on the butt because the boys liked it. The same girl who went out with my boyfriends best friend. The perfect set up, we thought. But we carried the ignorance of being in the seventh grade. We thought we were related, because we are both German. We thought everyone like us.  We were the ones. The same girl who has been there by my side since the sixth grade. We were it. We didn’t need anyone else. The same little girl, who has grown up now. Is doing grown up things, And has grown up dreams. The same girl who used to love frozen pizza, Is a big girl now. All for peace and love, And rock and roll. All for Jesus Christ, And saving souls. I love her to death, From those bright pink braces, To a grown lady. My best friend.

Sorry this is like a paragraph.
I tried and tried but it wont let me have spaces betweent the lines.

You are related...not by Germanness, but by heart, and passion, and your love for best friend-boyfriends!

You go girl!

Great blog entry! It's amazing how we grow from our experiences and how our thoughts and ideas change throughout the years.
