being HISPANIC AND COLLEGE: my life story, well some of it!!!!

i am hispanic. Born and raised in Puerto rico soo my english might be a little lost or wrong, but hang with me.
We all speak spanglish over there because we are kinda part of the US; we are dependant on you all and you guys supply us with products financial aid and a politics.
I now live in the US with my parents and little sis. because my dad is in the military so were he goes we all go. Its fun and all meeting new people every five years moving over and over again and yes i am being a little sarcastic!!!??
I am in high school and i moved to the US when high school starts over here which would be ninth grade. At this time i was lost in school, were i lived, with the language, the people, the behavior, the freedom of youth, and just everything. I realy didnt think of college or what i was going to do once i graduated because i imagined that we would go back to my home town, my island, and i could think about it then.
Well i learned the language and teachers decided i did not needed the help of a class called ESL ( english as a second language) i was smart enough to get things done for the classes and communicate others perfectly. I was extreamly happy i mean i could do it speak the language so i was maid.
About a year later i realize that i was not going back to Puerto Rico to live and that and education in the US would be the best choice just to help with my language and social enlargement, you know looking towards the horizon and all that stuff.
When i started tenth grade i was in Puerto Rico how this happened dont ask me but six months later i was back in Alabama but in another school.
You must know what this mean, i was getting used to one thing then change came then i had to get used to a new place again but this was okay until my friend start talking about college and universities and scholarships. I was in the middle of the road complitly lost i had no idea what the differences were between college and university and i had no idea on how to get scholarships, WHAT TO DO, i had no idea.
By the time that i had gotten all the ideas down i was at the end of my eleven grade and we where also moving again but this time from Alabama to Mississippi so if i had any plans already thought out they were gone, finish, perdidos, finitos; you get the point right?
Now i go to the internet everyday looking for scholarships that many times i dont qualified for because of some small detail like the person must know who to .. whatever or must be from a specific area in a specific state going to a specific college or university.
The other ones that are not soo complicated i try and do what ever to get my application in even if is only for 100 dollars.
And i know what all of you guys must be thinking, " why is she soo desperate if her dad is in the military" well lets say that their are a lot of expenses and things that are completly personal and would not be cool for me to write here but believe me there are reason. They will help me with college but they cant realy do much.
Now hispanic scholarships are very complicated because many times one must write a essay in which one must tie together ones background to the future or a specific situation or question. Also it takes some real time to write five and six essays when the deadline is in two or three weeks and you have homework and test in school and everything else.

The poin of this blog is for people to realize that life is always changing and you never know what is going to happen in five minutes or one year so start making choices NOW and looking for helps and money also if you can get a JOB and SAVE MONEY. GET GOOD GRADES ON YOUR HIGH SCHOOL YEARS AND BE INVOLVED WITH SPORTS, CLUBS OR ANYTHING IN SCHOOL IT WILL HELP OUT YOUR RESUME AND CHANCES OF GETTING GOOD SCHOLARSHIP.
The voice of experience is talking here and i dont want to scare nobody but this are not bad ideas at all. Start deciding on the carrear you would like to have and where you would like to go from ninth grade dont get lost like i did of course there are always different points of views and ways of getting and education but i only talk about my own.
Tomorrow i will take the ACT for the second time hopefully my score will help me with some scholarships and inprove the first time i took it i maid a 21 of course that if i had had more time i would have maid a 36+!!!!! lol
