People always proclaim they wish to fight for "World Peace" and to fight against "World Hunger" and "Global Warming". While at the same time they bicker and squabble like starving rats. People generally search out for petty reasons to hold petty conflicts like somehow those little social disagreements will define who you are when your rotting away being devoured by bacteria and maggots. In the cosmic viewpoint, our life is horribly short yet people want to fight over who has the bigger cookie, who has the better job, whose the better cook, weither or not your boyfriend's ex conspires against you, or whose right in the religious lotto. As it ever come across to you fools that it matters not who has the bigger cookie, the better job? Did it ever cross your mind that your boyfriend's ex might actually have feelings of her own? And maybe just maybe that our "higher creator" might just not want to be worshiped because to be honest I'd much rather think that our endowed creator is a little more humble than organized religion (or unorganized for that matter) makes us think. If you add up the small and large arguments we have in one day whoever it may be with (father, sister, lover, ect.) on whatever subjects that may be presented it would be roughly two hours a week, even more for some of our "brick wall" friends which roughly comes out to about 120 hours a year and about 10,200 hours in an average American lifetime. That's 425 days. Four hundred and twenty fucking five days. The next artist masterpiece, the next great poem, a breakthrough in the cure for cancer, a successful sting operation, or endless memories with a loved one could have happened in those 425 days. Now I would never say become a pushover and never fight for what's right but really come on, is mayo on your sandwich, fickle jealousies, or accidents really worth losing that little bit of time life, that little bit of time that when added up with the other little bits show the beauty of a horizon, that of the fondest memories and accomplishments? I may just be the guy on the other side of the computer screen but my doing nothing has a higher chance of doing good than your bickering.
