As the primaries wind down in the coming weeks, health care seems to have suddenly taken a backseat. Mccain is busy trying to tell everyone its worth winning the war. Obama wants everyone to know he'll pull the troops out, but will send them back if al-qaida pops back up. And Hilary is busy telling everyone she has first hand experience dealing with these situations. Oh, and she'll bring the troops out too. These are the ideas that jumped into the news after a debate that included arguments about health care and how the candidate would help out the average uninsured american. What happened to that topic? Seems to me that the candidates decided they had enough of meeting sick uninsured people and now are up for meeting veterans and anti-war groups. Doesn't this seem alot like what happens with Bush as well. The minute a big issue comes up with his "hot topic" he shifts focus to something else. The minute Iraq started going wrong, Bush reminded everyone Iran potentially had a nuke program. Then we found out that stopped in 2004, and Iraq was up on the agenda again. Anyone wondering if the US is capable of solving a single problem at a time in its own country rather than every where else?
Iraq is the hot issue.....health care isn't anymore apparently.

all your doing is goingon complaining. you give us problems, come up with some solutions

As for it being discussed heavily in the primaries, the situation in Iraq is a big topic, and always has been. Madeline Albright has stated that she believes it may go down in history as the worst act of foreign policy of the US. It needs to be dealt with. This doesn't mean that other issues go away. The election isn't a one issue deal. Also I found your discriptions of the candidates views a little too simplistic.
Yeah, I noticed I oversimplified it after words and should have gone into a bit more detail over it. My point wasn't that it was a one issue campaign, but the fact that focus seems to shift every few days from one topic to another rather than a good general coverage of all the topics. The role of Iraq is huge in this election and no one can ignore that, but it has been pushed aside for awhile and is now the hot topic as I mentioned.
