So... I'm finally getting pretty hyped up about the election this year (even though I can't vote). I attribute it to my global class and the inspiring teacher I have. So after seeing the debate, the conventions, and the websites, I'm considering making a ridiculous card game complete with rules about the canidates and election. "McCain uses veteran of Vietnam!" and "Obama counters with 'time for Change'". Or something like "Republicans use pitbul with lipsticks." and "Democrats use failed economy." I'm thinking it'll be a fairly epic game...
Maybe the fact that I can create a game from the whole politics and general election shenanigans is a giant metaphor for government in general. In a sense, it really is a game. The elections have their players, their tactics, their strategies and their fans and audience. Ha, okay really, that's an incredibly mean things to say. I'm actually quite pleased with the election this year. They may be mudslinging and lying and decieving, but in general, they both seem to really care for our country and both do seem to look forward to change, but now that our economy is flushing down and down and down, I'm kinda worried that there wont be any money for us to do all that we want to do. It just seems like if our economy doesn't boost up soon, our federal defict will be really really ridiculously messed up. We can't just spend and spend with no regard to our people or nation. After all, it was that 'same living outside your means' that put our economy in such a crisis. :P
