blah blah Myspace blah

For the people who got raped due to myspace - I am not sympathetic. It's because your labia is hanging out in half to all of your photos. If that is screaming "needy whore" I don't know what is.

Myspace is a race for friends. In highschool. By having 1,000 friends that entitles you to bragging rights. Too bad more than likely I don't like you anyway.

However - People are becoming much too timid to be able to compliment and confront people in the real world. Sure it's a bad habbit that the world (America) is falling into, but it's a way for people to be able to be themselves without having to fear brutal rejection. Once out of highschool, and maybe out of college, myspace kind of goes away. It is really helpful for e-mails though.

Really I don't care about myspace. It's a website. It's owned by Fox. Fox is able to read your information, use you as a census, anythign they want. Just be aware that Fox now owns your identity :)

I do agree with your point about people being too timid to confront people in the real world. One side effect of that is "internet bullying".

And while I personally am not totally unsympathetic to rape victims, it's true they do carry a measure--if not full--responsibility for those consequences, because they gave out such personal information on the internet that led the rapist right to them.

Myspace isn't bad, in and of itself, (at least, I haven't heard anything to make me think otherwise yet) but it can be used incorrectly.

I like myspace. I am a college student, but I know of adults that use it. It's an easy way to keep in contact.
I don't understand why people look for certain things on myspace, but that's not my job to understand everything people do. I mean everyone does stupid things. I don't understand how you can say you are unsympathic to rape. I mean it's such a horrible thing and no matter the circumstances, it shouldn't happen. NO ONE ASKS TO BE RAPED. They do some stupid things but people are ignorant, many times they live in sheltered neighborhoods and believe things like that can't happen to them.
I don't really know how it's used in highschool, because I am not in it. But I find it something that isn't just a waste of time or a instrument for rape. I find it a great way to talk to my friends and keep in contact.

I do agree with what you say about rape victims--no one asks for that to happen to them, but they do act stupidly, or just uneducatedly, and bear at least in some small measure a responsibility for putting themselves in danger. Which isn't the same thing as saying it's their fault they were raped. I also have great sympathy for them--it's just unbelievable to me that there's anyone left out there who hasn't heard SOMETHING about how it's not a good idea to put all your personal information up where anyone, including the bad guys, can read it.

yea you would think, but some people are just stupid or prefer not to educate themselves.. this isn't an excuse or anything and no I don't think it's acceptable that they do such stupid things but some people are truly extremely naive.. I think they haven't been taken out of their bubble of bliss yet.
