"Holy shit..."
I find myself saying this after almost every single page of Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. It's so intelligible, yet still so masterfully written, and Austen was only but twenty years when she wrote it.
This is the first of her novels, and the first I have read, but certainly not the last. I can't express enough how wonderful it is.
So I say to you, dear friends, that if you appreciate late 18th and early 19th Century English Literature, definately check her out.
Damn, it is amazing.
Further, I feel confident in saying that after reading his criticisms of Austen's volumes, I thoroughly believe that Mark Twain was a fool.
