I saw a rainbow today and to some people rainbows signify a promise...Promises are often things that are broken. Sometimes they are small.. sometimes they are much bigger and very hard to be mended. When a promise is made, it does require an amount of trust which is why it can hurt pretty badly if somehow that is broken.
Within these past few months, alot of trusts between myself and close friends have been broken. I was very angry, and quite upset, and I really let that feeling of brokeness overtake my thoughts for a long time. It then became the small things that began mending those cracked and torn pieces back together. Like that rainbow..I had been walking for nearly 2 and a half hours after a fight with a friend and i spotted it out of the corner of my eye... it was a reminder of a love and trust greater than the one that I can have from my closest friends and it provided me with a greater sense of comfort and piece then the kindest words from a loved one could give.
Cherish the small things. They are gifts in the times where you just need to be reminded that the bad times do come to an end, there is joy after sorrow, and there is always someone you can lean on when you cant seem to stand on your own.

Yea you cant always lean on your best friends, you cant always know whats going on in there head.
Aww that is a very thoughtful peice. I remember seeing a rainbow after my grandma died and thinking she painted it just for me. Its weird how things work out like that sometimes.
"We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all our exporing will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." --T.S. Eliot
Even though everyone else in the world may let us down, it is comforting to know that God's promises remain true always! Just like the rainbow after the rain....
