The Theory Behind Moving.....

Every person has moved at least once in their lifetime. Packing every object in their 'home' into boxes, bags, suitcases, trunks of cars, back seats, trailers, U-Hauls, and what other object you can shove things into. Moving many times in my short life has given me a new respect for it. Moving has given me a chance to become a more flexible person. Allowing me to walk into a room of strangers and randomly say hello to the entire room.

Making a new 'home', I put 'home' into paratheses because a 'home' is a place where you feel safe and able to be the true you - not a building containing your possesions, creates a personality out of people. Constantly having to pack your belongings makes you have less stuff.

As I was packing my bedroom today I realized that when I go off to college I will not see half of this stuff, so what is its importance? Not only does moving create a personaltiy but also a way of life. I keep less objects - trinkets what some people call them. I do not have time or space to keep carted these things on and off the moving van. How does that define me? Photographs are rare, unless they are digitally stored on my computer, personal tinkets, and basically anything relating to past memories. My sisters have gone through this, so their saying to me is, "Suck it up Era."

Moving is a change, obviously, but a change that empowers me. I believe this change will prepare me for college and give me the boost to push me in school, which is steadly becoming less and less important in my life.

OKay back to the theory of moving, with changing the location of your 'home', does that change your idea of a 'home'?

Share your annedotes on moving; funny ones, sad ones, weird ones, to help develope this theory of mine.

Thanks for another read into Era's spiraling life..... once again I am slowly dying- as are you, hahahahaha......
