Texas Gubernatorial Race - To Vote For Kinky or Not?

There's been a lot of turbulence among Texan politicians these past few weeks. As we go into the voting period, I would like to know who would actually vote for former country singer and novelist Kinky Friedman. As many Texans realize, Richard AKA Kinky has yet to be seen without his black outfit consisting of jeans, shirt, and cowboy boots with hat. And let us not forget the ever-present, but never lit cigar. But where does he stand on the issues?

  Kinky Friedman supports:
        1. Rasing our teacher's pay
        2. Lowering the Texas droput rate
        3. More use of Texas' alternative fuel resources (i.e. wind and solar power)
        4. A woman's right to abortion
        5. Decriminalization of marijuana
        6. Getting rid of all smoking bans
        7. Better children's healthcare
        8. Right to bear arms
        9. Moving forward with stemcell research
      10. Optional non-denominational prayer in schools
   Kinky Friedman opposes:
        1. The Trans-Texas Corridor
        2. Hunting and Fishing in Texas
        3. Death Penalty until the system is perfect
        4. National Animal Identification System being mandatory
        5. Discrimination against gays getting married

Will you vote for Kinky? Right now I can honestly say he is the most interesting of the candidates. His opponents are Carol Strayhorn, Chris Bell, James Werner, and current governor Rick Perry.

I would probably vote for him, but as I am 17, and too young to vote, it really doesn't matter. If anyone would like more information, they can go to http://www.kinkyfriedman.com/, or visit his myspace or facebook pages. I've already added him to my myspace friend list, and i must say, if the election were being held on myspace, Kinky would definitely win.

one of his books is called Kill Two Birds and Get Stoned. lol And why does he want marijuana decriminalized? hmmmmm...he also got arrested for drinking beer during his own parade.

I like number 3 and 4, we already have number 8 in the constitution otherwise the government could have total control and no one would do anything about it. I rather have Leslie Cochran, he's the only one I trust.
